  4. TRANSFORMATION

Randy and Anna had always transformed in concert, but when Anna shifted this time, Randy was shocked. This had never happened before, and Randy stared confusedly as the ivory moon escaped the clouds and revealed Anna to be a goat.
Randy momentarily wondered if he had gotten too plastered on the rhubarb wine he and Anna had consumed, but continued staring at Anna dismissed that possibility. Anna was a goat.
Moreover, she bleated angrily and charged Randy, leaving an angry bruise on his shoulder.
Randy’s predatory instincts kicked in; he went for Anna’s throat.
After all, he was a wolf.

  5. The Secret Armadillo Soldier (SAS) Diaries - entry 249

A scratching sound came from inside the lean-to.

Namwec turned rapidly as the blood splattered, mud plastered, curtain twitched aside and a long-clawed paw beckoned to her.

A whisper rippled among the watching weasels and rats, ’Holy Jagah.’

Beside him Atlas felt the muscles of Armi shoulder stiffen as Namwec bowed slightly to the owner of the ivory paw. ‘All will be done as you wish it mother.’

‘Remind them, in detail, Namwec, now the armadillo base is ours, I will accept nothing less than their concerted effort to wipe out this band of remaining agitators and their puny allies.’
