The legend has existed since the era of the fur trade along the St. Lawrence River, the legend of the fur quilt designed by a Huron Tribe with the power to protect anyone wrapped in it from arrows and spears. The quilt, a combination of beaver, otter and wolverine, sits in the Trappers’ Museum in Whitehall.
I am determined to find out if the legend is true.
It is now deep into night, and a friend and I have stolen into the museum to test the legend. I am wrapped in the quilt, and an arrow is on its way.
Well come on, with a character named Hesmeth Fent I just have to vote for Jims well written offering from last week .
ReplyDeleteMy vote goes to Terrie, whose chilling description of Atlas really captured my attention.
