Words for 6th September: coast forbid maximum
Entries by midnight Thursday 12th September, new words Friday 13th
Usual rules: 100 words maximum (excluding title) of flash fiction or poetry using all of the three words above in the genres of horror, fantasy, science fiction or noir. Serialised fiction is, as always, welcome. All variants and uses of the words and stems are fine.

ReplyDelete“Another forbidden world scratched,” said Master Gunner Aluzian, as he watched the gas remnants of the planet slowly evanesce on his view screen. “This one a bit tougher than I thought though… took the maximum power of our Judgement Ray.”
“Yeah,” offered Chief Officer Drowod, “that was a first. We’d better coast for a while and let the Ray regenerate. What’s next on the elimination list?”
“Just got word from headquarters, Chief, that we can bypass the next one.”
“Oh?” replied Chief Drowod, “which one’s that, and why?”
“A planet called Earth. Turns out this world is steadily destroying itself.”
